Here is another image of the planets that I took on February 26th, 2012. They are aligned up against an old water tower in East Hampton, Connecticut. Again, they are from top to bottom, Jupiter, the moon, and Venus. Mercury had already set and not visable.

February four planet conjunction

A wonderful clear and cool evening were the perfect recipe to get a shot at the four planet conjuction in the west-south-west. 2 Day old moon

OK…Had my fun at the 1 day old moon. Now, I was more relaxed and got a couple of shots of the 2 day old moon. Not bad for February…47 degrees at sunset.

One day old cresent moon

Before tonight my record for viewing the cresent moon was 48+ hours old. Tonight I broke that record after encountering multiple cloud banks that left me to shoot through sucker holes.
