Connecticut’s Rock Creatures coming back to life
Mar 26th, 2010 by CtCameraEye
Spring is here. The snow is gone (for now), the early flowers are starting to bloom, and the leaves, dirt, and debris are uncovering the Rock Creatures around Connecticut for another year.
These creatures, as scarce as they might be, are out in full view, soaking up the sunlight and becoming more visable by the day.
Take this creature near my house in Marlborough known as the Snake/Lizard on Route 66, just 1/4 mile west of the center of town.
If you head east on Route 66 towards Hebron, several miles down the road you will come to Eagle Rock.
Finally my favorite. The Turtle Rock Creature on the Hammonasset Connector in Madison, Connecticut. It’s my favorite because it changes it’s colors at least twice a year. If you know of any other rock creatures out there either small or large, let me know where they are. Or, send me a picture of it. I will be sure to use it in my next Rock Creature report!
